The International Myopia Conference (IMC) welcomes attendees from around the world. To assist participants who require a visa to travel to the United States, IMC will provide a Visa Support Letter upon request to eligible attendees.
Visa Support Letters may be issued to:
- Registered conference attendees whose registration has been completed and paid.
- Authors with accepted abstracts.
- Invited speakers.
- Committee members or other officially invited participants.
Visa Support Letters will not be issued to individuals who have not registered (unless they are invited participants or accepted presenters) or whose registration has been canceled.
Visa Support Letters must be requested through the official IMC Visa Support Request Form.
Applicants must provide:
- Full Name as it appears on your Passport
- Nationality/Country of citizenship
- Passport number and expiration date
- Institution/Organization
- Position/Title
- Mailing address
- Email address
- Conference registration confirmation number or Abstract ID and Title
- Dates of attendance
- City and Country of the Embassy or Consulate where visa application will be submitted
Please allow up to 5 business days for processing.
Requests should be submitted as early as possible. Visa appointment wait times vary by country and may be lengthy.
Visa Support Letters will be provided electronically as a signed PDF sent to the email address provided in the request.
A Visa Support Letter:
- Confirms the applicant's intent to attend the International Myopia Conference 2027.
- Does not constitute financial sponsorship.
- Does not guarantee admission into the United States.
- Does not guarantee issuance of a visa.
All visa decisions are made solely by the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
